Mental Health at work
I believe in a holistic approach to promoting positive mental health and disability inclusion and am proud of the work I have done alongside HR and sustainability teams to embed inclusion and wellbeing strategies and projects in the workplace. I have also worked directly with managers and HR teams to implement reasonable adjustments for their employees, and help organisations join and move through the Disability Confident scheme.
Experience
- Supported a global health parternship to create accessible materials for a data collection initiative.
- Worked alongside a global information technology company to bolster their support for employees with hidden disabilities.
- Reviewed and updated a Disability Awareness Good Practive Guide for an HR membership organisation.
- Provided consultancy to a non-profit throughout lockdown and during a transition back to work. This included delivering a bespoke training series for leaders and employees and developing Remote Working Principles for Covid-19.
- Developed and executed a bespoke wellbeing and inclusion strategy for an HR team which resulted in a successful designation as a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer.
- Worked alongside an HR lead to facilitate and oversee the development and implementation of a new internship for a disabled young person in the West London area interested in the creative arts. This led to a paid position.
- Partnered with a global retail group to design, execute and manage an in-house disability, diversity and inclusion event designed to build engagement amongst retailers.
- Collaborated with various clients in public, private, and non-profit sectors to promote more accessible recruitment pathways for disabled people. This led to interviews and job offers for candidates that may have otherwise not been considered.
